DARK ARCADIA [ICV]:
[Regional news flash] PICTURE: Azralius' "White House" in
ashes, flames burning, amateur video shot.
TEXT: Topaz, Empire of Azralius
NARRATION: The Dark Arcadian Empire has thus far done nothing about the rebel attacks and intrigues
in Azralius, but monitored the situation closely - so it came as no surprise to His Najesty when the
nation was taken over by the renegades and renamed accordingly to "Vampirina".
PICTURE: Still pictures of blurred photography that may or may not be dead people.
NARRATION: Despite the most gruesome death of the nation's former highranking politicians, the same
people who were in alliance with Dark Arcadia, the Empire has offered nothing but peace to this new
country, in fact, even financial aid should they require it.
PICTURE: Todd Dark Isrising, one of the leading individuals of the rebel movement, in an interview,
no original sound; obviously just taken to have an animated picture.
TEXT: Todd D. Isrising, October 2003
NARRATION: Connections between the Empire and the rebels are being rumoured to exist, and to have
existed for a long time before.
PICTURE: Fransisco Meguro, being interviewed, recent material.
TEXT: Altamont, Dark Arcadia
NARRATION: His Najesty Fransisco Meguro naturally denies these claims, but simultaneously notes that
there -is- now a connection, and that this connection is one of friendship.
PICTURE: Fransisco Meguro at a press conference, assumed later that day.
TEXT: His Najesty of Dark Arcadia, Fransisco Meguro
NARRATION: "We believe the atrocities commited towards the fine individuals that ran Azralius to be
just that - atrocities. (Pause) However, we also believe that the people that have commited these
crimes are -not- the same people that claim to run this country at this point in time. (Pause) For
this reason, and because such acts of terror were not expected in this extent, but peaceful solutions
were in order and expected, Dark Arcadia has not made any military moves in the matter of Azralius to
come to it's ultimate aid... (short pause) paticularily since the bulk of our own military is being
deployed now to one of our own counties to maintain law and order." - QUESTION: "What do you consider
doing about Praeraptoria? You've mentioned troubles with it in the past." - "Praeraptoria is the
county we are focussing our military efforts in. (Pause) The dictatorship was tolerated long enough.
Should it refuse to back down, as we expect, not only will Praeraptoria lose it's status as a Dark
Arcadian county, but it will be attacked, as it is in our best self-interest not to tolerate such a
corrupt government within our continent." - QUESTION: "Where do the rebels of Azralius fit in?" -
"The rebels of Azralius have nothing to do with this. However, the situation Dark Arcadia itself is
in should make it understandable why the actions of alliance were taken with the newly developing
country. We cannot afford a war."

Telegram from
DARK ARCADIA to
PRAERAPTORIA:
Your violation of the Dark Arcadian principles has gone too far this
time. The immediate consequences of your actions and dictatorial politics -will- be dire. The Empire
is deploying most part of the Dark Arcadian military to your sector now. Surrender your government
status, or perish - inform your nation of your deeds, inform them of this threat; act accordingly.
But don't wallow in ignorance about the consequences.
Your economy has been severed from the Dark Arcadian one. No commerce will be allowed till you
comply, or till your nation is taken over by the Empire and revamped entirely. At current Dark
Arcadian knowledge level, you are not part of the Dark Arcadian Empire, and your currency is to
revert back to the feather, which you first used prior to your joining of the Empire.
I want you to know on a personal level that I find your behaviour utterly despicable. How you can
neglect political freedoms of -our- people this way, I do not know. How you can repeatedly ignore
-our- rules and expect to get away with it, I do not know. I do not care to know the answer. None
would suffice to make amends.
Signed,
Fransisco Meguro |
